Import and export

Move sources and settings between destination chats, back them up, share a setup.

Exporting and importing settings

Every destination chat and every source has Export settings and Import settings at the bottom of its screen. The exported file contains the whole configuration of that chat or source: media types, delivery and sync settings, filters, replacements, template, translation, AI prompts, watermark, delivery mode. Use it to:

  • copy a proven configuration to a new channel;
  • keep a backup before experimenting;
  • share a setup with a colleague who manages another chat.

Importing replaces the settings of the target; nothing is merged. The app warns about it before applying: Your current settings will be completely replaced. A malformed or incompatible file is refused with Import failed.

Settings that your plan does not include are imported but stay read-only until the plan allows them.

Exporting and importing sources

List of sources → Export sources downloads the list of the current chat as a file. Import sources reads such a file into another chat, or into the same chat after a cleanup. The file carries the source chats and their per-source settings.

Two things to keep in mind:

  • The sources are read through a connected account, so the account of the target must be able to see those chats. A source the account is not in is imported but cannot deliver until the account joins the chat.
  • The plan limit on sources applies: if the import goes beyond it, the extra sources are added switched off. The app says so: Imported, but … sources are off — plan limit.

Copying settings between sources

Inside one chat, settings are copied between sources with Copy settings / Apply settings in the source list: switch to Edit, copy from one source, select the others and apply. This copies the whole source-level configuration, including the Replace / Add to mode of every section.

What is not exported

Connected accounts are never part of any file — a session is a credential and stays on the account's owner. Delivery history and warnings are not exported either; they belong to the chat and are available in History.
