Getting started

Connect an account, pick a destination, add a source — the first forward in a few minutes.

1. Open the bot

Open @RoutifyBot in Telegram and press Start. The bot answers with a short description and a button that opens the mini app; the same app opens from the menu button next to the message field. Nothing is created yet: the bot only knows your Telegram user and your interface language.

2. Connect an account

Routify reads sources through your Telegram account, so the first step is to connect one. Open the Accounts tab and press Connect Telegram account: phone number in international format, the confirmation code Telegram sends you, and the two-factor password if the account has one. Details and the one non-obvious rule about the code are in Connecting an account.

3. Add a destination chat

On the Home screen press Add chat and choose where the messages should go: a chat of the connected account, or a link. A channel, a group, a topic in a forum group or a private chat all work. If the messages should be sent by the bot, @RoutifyBot must be an administrator there; if they are sent from your account, nothing needs to be added. See Destinations.

4. Add a source

Open the chat you just added and press Add source. The app lists the chats of the connected account — channels, groups, people, bots; pick one, or paste a t.me link. The source appears in the chat's list with its own settings. See Adding a source.

5. Choose how to deliver

Who sends — the bot, your account, or the account switching to the bot on flood — is chosen when you add the source. In the source card the Delivery mode dropdown decides the form: Copy or Forward. In the chat settings Delivery mode is about timing: Instant or Deferred. See Delivery modes.

Every pipeline section — which media to forward, filters, replacements, translation, AI, template — exists for the chat and, on top of it, for every source: Source-level settings.

6. The first messages

Delivery starts with the next message in the source. To check the setup without waiting, open the source card: Send latest post delivers the newest message of the source now, Copy history walks through the past messages. See Managing sources.

Something did not arrive?

  • Open Messages from sources in the chat settings: every message is there with its status — delivered, filtered (with the filter that caught it) or failed (with the error). See Managing sources.
  • Check Warnings in the chat settings and the account's status in the Accounts tab: a signed-out account or a bot without rights in the destination stops delivery.
  • The FAQ covers the common cases; the support group @madbots_talk covers the rest.
