FAQ
Short answers to the questions support hears most often.
A source was added but nothing arrives
Open the chat's history: if the posts are there as Filtered, the row names the rule; if they are Failed, the row keeps Telegram's answer — most often the bot is not an administrator of the destination any more. If the history is empty, check that the account the source is read through is still connected on the Accounts tab and that the source is switched on.
Can I forward from a private channel or a group?
Yes. Sources are read through your connected account, so anything that account is a member of can be a source — private channels, groups, invite-link chats and private chats included. Public channels can also be added by link. See Add source.
Does the source chat see anything?
No. Nothing is added to the source; it is read the same way your Telegram client reads it. Only the destination needs the bot, and only when the bot publishes there.
Is connecting my account safe, and can I undo it?
The code and the two-step password are never stored, the phone number is masked, and the session can be ended from the mini app or from Telegram's Settings → Devices at any time. The full picture is in Security.
Telegram says the code is wrong
If you are connecting your primary account, type the code with underscores between the digits — 1_2345. Telegram treats a plain code pasted into another app as leaked and rejects it.
Can the bot post to my channel, group or forum topic?
Yes. Add @RoutifyBot as an administrator of the destination; a forum topic is chosen when you pick the destination. See Destinations.
Can messages go out from my own account instead of the bot?
Yes: who sends — the bot or your account — is chosen when you add the source, see Delivery modes.
Copy or forward — what is the difference?
A forward keeps Telegram's "Forwarded from" header and the message exactly as it was. A copy is a fresh message that looks like your own, and it is what filters, replacements, templates and AI work on.
The source edited a post — will my copy change?
Yes, if the Sync with the source switch is on: edits and deletions in the source are repeated in the delivered post, and the copy changes in place. The link between the original and the copy is kept for 72 hours.
My account unsubscribed from a source channel — will delivery stop?
Not for a public channel: Routify switches it to its own service session and keeps reading it. Private channels and groups cannot be read that way — for those the account has to stay subscribed. See Connecting an account.
Can I review posts before they are published?
Yes, on every paid plan: switch the chat to deferred delivery and use moderation. Messages awaiting a decision sit in Schedule and queue. See Deferred posting.
Can I send my own post, not just one from a source?
Yes: the Post publishing section in a channel or group — an editor with formatting, media, drafts and a schedule. Auto-delete lives there too: the post disappears from the chat on its own after the time you set.
The same story arrived three times from three sources
Switch on the similarity filter (Expert plan): it compares new posts with the ones already delivered to the chat and drops look-alikes. If a repeat has more — a video or the full text — it can update the post already published, and the repeat itself goes, labelled, to the chat for filtered messages if one is set.
Can it post under my own bot's name?
Yes, on every paid plan. See Your own bot.
How do I pause a source without deleting it?
Switch the source off in its settings. Everything is kept and can be switched on again. Disconnecting an account also switches off every source bound to it.
How many accounts and chats can I connect?
It depends on the plan — the pricing page shows the current numbers for accounts and forwards on each plan.
Where is the data stored, and can I delete it?
Sources, settings and the delivery history are stored on our servers; the connected session is stored there too, and the media of delivered posts stays in Telegram. Unlink chat in the chat's settings deletes it with its sources and settings; Disconnect on the Accounts tab deletes the session; the support group can delete an account entirely on request.
Where do I get help?
The support group @madbots_talk; news and updates in @madbots; business questions to @madbots_support.
